UPDATE 12/28/10: I just wanted to update this post as now I am a reformed Lady Gaga lover. I didn't get it at first but mine eyes have seen the light and I truly enjoy her, her performances and her outfits!

I read this & then the "New Moon" preview said "What were you thinking?!" My thoughts exactly...Lady? No, a lady would NEVER wear something like that. Oh...my...God...as if her performance wasn't freakish enough.
ReplyDeleteyeah, lol i was washing dishes and then i turn over to look at the tv and then i see her in that and i was like "OH MY GOD" lmbo, i got kinda scared, and i just started laughing. lol -^_^- -i think she just wants attention, i mean there's a fine line between being "different and unique", and... crazy, stupid looking. Ok, and she says she bisexual, well not all of the GLBT people are weird like that... i just want people 'ta know. It's always the weird ones who get shown to the world... and that's why they think we're freaks. Lol, sorry. I just wanted to say that.

ReplyDeleteshe looks amazing. when was the last time anyone had enough guts to do something so extraodinary. if you have ever liked a dali painting, or any kind of classical music, then you cant complain about this. dali is surreal, like her outfit, and classical music was outrageous to many people at one stage.

It's not that Lady Gaga tries too hard or is seeking attention, people just don't think enough. Every one of her outfits makes a statement or tells a story, it goes deeper than simply trying to do the craziest thing just for attention; Lady Gaga is a PERFORMANCE ARTIST. If people actually listened to the lyrics of Paparazzi while watching her performance at the VMA's, they might see the connection between the lyrics and the imagery displayed. Lady Gaga has said in interviews that her performance and outfit following it were a comment about Princess Diana, who was hunted by the paparazzi until her very last breath. The red lace outfit and crown symbolize bloodshed.
ReplyDeleteDespite what others may think about her, the fact remains that she has created a name, persona, and empire which have made her independently wealthy at the age of 24, and unlike certain other female artists she's constantly compared to, she had a relatively normal childhood, aside from writing her first piano ballad at 13. She attended school, lived on her own at a young age, and actually performed in bars to make a living and promote herself. In short, she was not born with a spoon in her mouth like Britney and Christina.

<3 Gaga...but I wouldn't advise my friends or myself to dress up like her. Haters, you can say whatever you want, but Lady Gaga is unique in her own crazy and hilarious way. She's an artist--a crazy and unique one =) She even has a unique voice and I think her songs are great. SO THERE! And btw I frikkin love TWILIGHT NEW MOON ECLIPSE AND BREAKING DAWN and wth does twilight have to do with Lady Gaga? Sheesh pple..how serious can u get with lifeM If she likes dressing up--let the girl dress up.
