Twilight Convention Vampire Ball now the Volturi Vampire Ball!

Check it out! The official Twilight Conventions Vampire Ball has now become the Volturi Vampire Ball, duhhh why didn't I think of that? When Kristie and I went to the last convention it was just the Vampire Ball, but now it looks like they will have a theme of St. Marcus day, how sweet. Kristie and I have gold admission tickets so our ball tickets will be included, but you see where it says they only have a FEW extra tickets available for everyone else? Well that's a lie, they sell about 320 gold weekend tickets and there was about 600-700 people at the ball in NJ. I'm not saying do not buy the tickets in advance if you plan on attending the ball - I would - but for the NJ show they sold out of ball tickets online but at the show they were selling them the day of! A lot of people who went to the convention and didn't purchase the ball tickets before they sold out online did not bring any formal attire, and when they were for sale at the show did not buy them because they didn't want to feel weird about not dressing up. I totally understand that, but honestly not everyone was dressed up, it would be fine to skip the formal wear but who wants to miss a chance to dress up - or like a vampire!

My advice - buy them in advance if you are not buying gold tickets. It's better to know you have them and then you could plan your outfit! As Kristie pointed out earlier, when in doubt about buying something related to Twilight BUY!!! You know it's going to sell out ; )

Rob Pattinson - An Inspiration to Keep on Breathing

Dear Rob, I recently received the signed New Moon book that you autographed for me in NYC while you were filming Remember Me. The wonderful ladies at the Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital Fund especially Ms Chris and one of her friends spent alot of their own personal time and effort in getting this for me after contacting Ms C from Remember Me. I will always be truly grateful to them for this gift. I can't thank you enough for taking the time out of your busy life and schedule to sign this for me. It means more to me than you will ever truly know. I am not sure how much you were told of me, but my name is Ms. MS and I am nearly 24 years old. I have a very rare lung disorder that causes my lungs to collapse at times witout any notice, and from the damage done to my lungs it has left me on oxygen nearly 24 hours a day. I can only take it off about 1 hour a day and a large percentage of my time is spent in a wheelchair as I can only walk short distances. They tell me my only other option is a lung transplant, scary right? This is a decision that I will have to make at some point but they tell me it will only give me an extra 5 - 7 years and well I just dont know. Anyway these are the breaks that life sometimes gives you. You see I was lucky enough to win the Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital raffle. They have looked after me since I was 16 years old which is when I first got sick. Anyway, one of the prizes I won was based around your favorite film and movie stars. My wish was to try and either meet some of the Twilight stars especially you or go to one of your movie premieres. Ms Chris from Morgan Stanley was trying to organize for me to come and meet you on the set of Remember Me in NYC this summer. I live in VB, but due to the timing, having to get everything worked out and the time to get clearance from your producers it was not meant to be. I still am most grateful for the signed book from you. I will forever cherish your kind words as it gave some hope and that maybe one day things will work out for me too. I also wanted to tell you that Peter Facinelli (Dr Carlisle from the Twilight series ) was at my local mall here in VB a few weeks ago as part of a Red Cross Blood Drive. How lucky was that right? I got all dressed up made an effort and got my best friend to take me down to the mall wheelchair/oxygen and all . I waited for a few hours in order to see him and what a nice person he is even though he had been signing autographs for hours. I had the pleasure of meeting him, taking a photo with him, and getting his autograph. I took my oxygen off and walked up to take the photo and I was shaking from my nerves I am sure he wondered what was wrong with me? :). I wanted to give him this letter and ask him to give it to you but I felt a little embarrassed and he was very busy. There were hundreds and hundreds of people lined up waiting to meet him. I love how you both are so dedicated to your work and your fans. I have attached a picture of the book you signed for me in the summer and also the picture of Peter so you know that this letter is really the truth. I would appreciate if you could acknowledge that you received this if by chance it actually gets to you . You seem like such a nice person and I wish you all the best in life. Anyone else notice the lack of Eclipse filming news? Producers quiet about filming locations

Am I the only one who has noticed the lack of Eclipse filming news in the last couple of weeks? Yea I didn't think so. I've been trying to get my fix lately but seems that the producers of the Twilight Series have asked the VanCity newspapers and radio stations to keep the filming locations on the down low. Honestly, this may be a good thing (said as I duck the shoes and hard objects flying at me) I mean, for a while I felt like I was getting TOO MUCH twilight news - and that the movies won't hold any surprises for me. I know, there really isn't a thing such as too much twilight news, but we do need to be kept in the dark about some things. Check out the full article from canada.com here. Part of the fun of waiting for the movies to come out, is all the speculation. I am one of those people who can wait this out, I'm a bit of a masochist. I like the painful part of waiting, I like torturing myself wondering how the "flame on the water" (Victoria's hair) will be done in the movie, or if they will show Edward's face when he thinks Bella's dead, or what Sam Uley will look like when he finds Bella in the woods, . . . or a million other little things.

Don't get me wrong when November 20th, or actually November 19th because you know I will be at the midnight show, comes I will not be able to function at all that day. I will basically be useless to the world. And it's not like I can count on Kristie to calm me down, because I have the feeling she will be worse off than me. I'm going to have to put her in adult diapers for the day, because she will most likely lose all bladder control with the squeals of giggles that will be escaping us. Like Kristie told me before, she will probably explode. I'm not kidding, she will spontaneously combust. Hopefully it will be AFTER she sees the movie so that her life was not in vain ; )

~Gee, thanks Angel, although you might be correct. I bet Ashley and Rob would still look hot in diapers. Now they would make one awesome looking couple.

Taylor Lautner - Shy About His Extra 30 Pounds

We all know Taylor added 30 pounds of muscle to make sure he kept his role of Jacob in the rest of the saga, but would you have guessed that he is embarrassed by all the extra attention?

Lautner is currently filming "Eclipse," the third film in the franchise, in Vancouver. "It's really good," Taylor says of life on set. "We are having a lot of fun hanging out up in Vancouver."

OK, so the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street is coming out in April of 2010. Freddy scares the shit out of me, but I got good news, it scares Kellan too!

"Freddie scared me growing up. I watched a lot of horrow movies with my dad and my brother. There's somethign about Freddie Kruger attacking you in your sleep that terrified me. I mean, that's probably why I only get four house of sleep a night, I hardly dream. And having the chance to be a part of this movie, and it's a psychological thriller versus some bloodbath, I'm blessed. I'm the guy that you want to root for in this because he's a good guy have these probelsm because he can't sleep, and he sees Freddie when he sleeps, so he just stays up."

"Me and Ashley Greene are kind of not-the kids of the group, but we like playing games. I went to Toys R Us and bought Wii Fitness and tons of other games to play in the hotel, because we are always in the hotel and it's tough to leave and not be followed by paparazzi or fans."

Jacob and Bella - New Moon Dreamcatcher

It looks like in New Moon, Jacob gives Bella a dreamcatcher. I love this idea, totally sweet, something Jacob would have done. Protecting Bella as best he could from her nightmares. He has yet to get a haircut in the photo so this might be a belated birthday present or right before Jacob first phases, knowing Bella has bad dreams. Dreamcatchers were created to catch bad dreams and give new, good dreams. "In the center of the dreamcatcher there is a hole. Good dreams are permitted to reach the sleeper through this hole in the web. Boston Globe Twilight article - "Falling in love with Twilight"

I just read this article from the Boston Globe by Beverly Beckham titled "Falling in Love with Twilight" - read it here. This is written by an older woman, seems like she is around 60. I enjoyed this article because it shows how women from all walks of life and ages are in love with this story. I always feel like through all of my Twilight internet searching that I'm constantly on the quest for an answer. The answer to why I love this story so much and why I am connecting with it on such a deeper level, currently it's more than an obsession, it's a lifestyle : ) Here is my favorite part of her article:

Kristie and I bought these through amazon during comic-con SD and I love it but I'm a little pissed. They were supposed to be available for only 2 days and now I see that they are still selling them months later! uggggghhhhh I thought I was going to be special but now I see I'm still lame. Even though the New Moon action figure dolls are weird looking, I will probably still buy them. I have an addiction and my addiction doesn't discriminate ok . . . . just saying. You can buy them on amazon here, for only (I guess I shouldn't say only) $60.00 shipped, that's the cheapest I could find. Not too bad, you get each doll for $15 each. But I do gotta say that the dolls are pretty ugly, Bella has love handles, Jacob looks like he's on roids, Alice looks like a she-male (nothing wrong with she-males), and Edward looks like a grandpa with his pants all hiked up to his nipples. Oh well I can still have fun with them though!

Edward - Stupid Shiny Volvo Owner

So... obviously Edward is not driving a silver Volvo. It is such a subtle detail but most definityly something we all will notice, heck we noticed that Edward had the gold eyes when he was in Italy when he totally had black eyes in the book. Hello! We unlike, some of the people actually involved in the making of the movie have read the books dozens of times we know how it is supposed to be. Edward drives a silver volvo in every book in the Twilight Saga. I'm assuming Volvo paid tons to have this newer edition in the movie, obviously it's not something we will freak out and die about and will totally move on and get over it, I just wonder why they dont just make it as close to the book as possible, the books are why the movie exists. Some fans on Twilight Lexicon posted some good points, check them out below. What's your opinion?
