After months of speculation on whether The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn would film in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the latest Twilight news has confirmed that Breaking Dawn will indeed film in Rio in November.
According to tweets by Sergio Se Leitao, President of the Rio Film Commission, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will film in Rio after safety concerns have been alleviated and resolved.
Sergio Se Leitao recently tweeted, "Dawn will be shot in Rio in November. With full support of the Rio Film Commission. For security reasons I can not say when and where."

More on #BreakingDawn 's Zafrina!
British actress JUDI SHEKONI's new TWILIGHT role has solved her future Halloween headaches - she plans to dress up as her vampire character every year and hit parties as Zafrina.Quote from Source Photo from IMDB
The six-foot stunner admits she struggles to find a costume for her adopted Los Angeles trick or treating, and often gives up and simply stays at home on the spookiest night of the year.
She tells WENN, "It all overwhelms me. I've gone to the Santa Monica Boulevard Halloween parade and been a part of it all and then other times I've been like, 'I'm just gonna stay home and watch a video'.
"My costumes have never been elaborate; I basically have a white dress and I'll buy a pair of angel wings and I'm an angel. One time I wore reasonable-sized underwear and my angel wings and went as Tyra Banks - I was impressed that people got it.
"Even this year, as of now, I don't have an outfit and I don't know what I'm gonna wear. There's three parties that I've been invited to and I have no idea what I'm gonna wear. I've got a day off on Saturday, so I'm gonna go hunting.
"Because of Twilight, I feel like I wanna go the other way and so I think I'll probably be an angel or a fairy; something light and frothy - so I can save my dark side for the movie."
And Shekoni can't wait for her Twilight debut to hit the big screen - because she'd like to hit the streets and parties as Zafrina.
She adds, "At least I can go out at Halloween next year, as Zafrina."
The Brit is hoping her character's costume becomes a Halloween staple for Twilight fans: "Please God and the universe, make my character have an impact that occurs. That would be great."

Rob Pattinson wishes he could always shop at vintage stores...
I feel like I owe you an explanation for posting the below article... I personally thought the article was a bit rude, but I tried to take out the rude comments and lies and just posted the quotes directly from Rob, I think it's sexy in a way they even with all his money he still perfers to do his own thing... good for him - stay grounded.

The Twilight Saga hunk loves shopping in thrift stores but admits his fame makes it difficult to make many trips to expand his wardrobe.
He said: "I like kind of s***ty clothes most of the time. I like second hand. That's another thing. I can't really go into second hand stores to get new clothes any more so I end up wearing the same thing every day.
"I wish I could shop in vintage stores the whole time. But because a lot of paparazzi follow me around, it can be difficult."
Though he prefers second hand clothing, the 24-year-old actor - who is dating his Twilight Saga co-star Kristen Stewart - turns to designer Marc Jacobs when he is in need of red carpet wear.
He added: "At almost every single premiere I wear Marc Jacobs. It seems to be the only stuff that fits me."

Are Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene causing drama on the “Twilight, Breaking Dawn” set? According to new reports the hot new couple have been sparking a bit of controversy on the set of the upcoming “Twilight Saga” film. The above "story" is from TrendingDaily - oh and I like how they are even quoting Perez Hilton in this, I mean really! @GossipCop proves him WRONG on a daily basis - Good job Trending Daily!
Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene may be one of Hollywood’s hottest new couples, but are they already having problems? According to online gossip The Jonas Brother and the “Twilight” actress’ relationship has been a bit rocky the past few weeks, and it’s spilling over onto the “Breaking Dawn” set.
Disney Dreaming Blog reports that Jonas, who accompanied Ashley Greene to Lousianna on the set of the latest “Twilight” film, “Breaking Dawn” is stirring up some drama because he’s jealous of Ashley’s co-stars.
According to the blog Jonas is very unhappy about all the on screen affection between Greene’s character Alice Cullen, and her “Twilight” beau Jackson Rathbone’s Jasper Hale.
“Joe isn’t happy with Jackson kissing Ashley,” revealed one source. He knows it’s a film, but these scenes are really hot and heavy. And, Joe is more of a singer than an actor, so this is all new to him. Joe is very possessive of Ashley — letting everyone know that she belongs to him –- especially [when it comes to] Jackson.”
However, this isn’t the only problem the couple is rumored to be facing. Perez Hilton reports that Joe Jonas’ mother doesn’t approve of his quickly evolving relationship with girlfriend Ashley Greene, and believes Ashley is too experienced and controlling for her son.

Solution to the Renesmee Issues in Breaking Dawn
A couple of days ago, we discussed the possibility that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn's "Renesmee" character might require the work of more than one actress.Quote from Source
Mackenzie Foy, who has been chosen for the part, is taller and older than the character is at quite a few moments in the story, so the natural assumption is/was that there might be a second, younger actress used for the earlier moments, with or without facial CGI imposition. (Of course, the benefit to having Foy is that she is a rather dead-on image of what her on-screen parents, portrayed by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, look like combined.)
Well, a Variety piece that surfaced recently speaks to the issue: "director Bill Condon . . . has a solution up his sleeve to smooth fans' issues with the controversial character." Also, producer Wyck Godfrey is quoted to support the casting of Foy, saying "We have found in Mackenzie all of the qualities we were looking for in an actress to fill the role of Renesmee . . . She is a very talented young actress who emerged head and shoulders above all who auditioned for the part, and we can't wait to see what she brings to her role."

It has been revealed that Robert Pattinson is taking boating lessons in preparation for "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn". The president of Rio Film has confirmed that some scenes for the movie will be filmed in Rio De Janeiro.
Apparently there had been rumblings of this big news in Rio for some time but finally the president, Sergio Sa Leitao, confirmed the good news, via Twitter. He said the filming of "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will bring $2 million dollars to the economy.
Already speculation has started about what scenes will be filmed in Rio. The Examiner reported that one of those scenes would be when Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) takes Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) to Isle Esme in a boat.
A source told the Examiner that Pattinson, who is currently in Baton Rouge, has been learning to drive a boat on one of the nearby state rivers. It's thought that his new interest if water sports in connected to the filming down in Brazil.

More on Breaking Dawn Cast
More than 16 vampires have been added to the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
Based on the bestselling novels by Stephenie Meyer, the Twilight series follows the romance between teenager Bella Swan and vampire Edward Cullen. The movie Breaking Dawn is based on the fourth and final book of the series.
In keeping with Twilight tradition, most of the new cast members are relative unknowns. The most famous faces were reserved for the Denali clan, which features prominently in the book.
Advertisement: Story continues below Maggie Grace (Taken), Casey LeBow (Moonlight) and MyAnna Buring (Lesbian Vampire Killers) will play the three sisters, Irina, Kate and Tanya. Mia Maestro (Alias) will play Carmen and Christian Camargo (Dexter, The Hurt Locker) is Eleazar.
The Denali clan are just a few of the vampires that are descending on Forks as Edward, Bella and co call on all their vampire contacts for help in the impending war with the Volturi.
Other clans to be introduced include the Egyptian, Irish and Romanian covens as well as the American and European nomads. See the attached photo gallery for a first look at the new vampires.
Filming planned for November
Pre-production is well under way and key crew members have also been confirmed, with director Bill Condon announcing on Facebook an impressive line-up; notably cinematographer Guillermo Navarro, who won an Oscar for Pans Labyrinth, makeup designer Jean Black, from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and visual effects supervisor John Bruno whose work includes Titanic, X-Men and Avatar.
Commenting on Bruno, Condon said: “He and his team are working intensely to develop solutions to the host of special effects challenges that Stephenie created for us in Breaking Dawn, including that remarkable kid.”
The role of Renesmee – the half-vampire half-human offspring of Bella and Edward – will be played by young MacKenzie Foy. The role will require the character to quickly age from baby to toddler and then child.
Three of the books, Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, have already been brought to the big screen with only Breaking Dawn remaining. Earlier this year it was confirmed that Breaking Dawn will be split across two movies. Part one is due to be released in November 2011.

Robert Pattinson, on writing music

Robert Pattinson was an aspiring musician long before he found success as Edward Cullen in the Twilight series. The actor recently spoke about his music talents, admitting that he actually takes a long time to put together his songs.
"I write a song every six months. I never write a diary. I think that's why it takes me so long. You have to summarise your personality changing." Pattinson explained.
Music was actually Pattinson's back-up plan had being an actor not worked out. Though recent comments lead us to believe he's not too sure he would have been successful with music as the back-up since Pattinson believes he'll be more famous when he's dead.
"I am sure I'll be one of those artists that people don't pay any attention to while I'm alive, and when I am dead people will go yeah, man, that was a work of art...I see myself playing in a rundown blues bar, with about three people drowning their sorrows. I play according to my mood, and sometimes that can come across as very depressing in music."
Is it possible that Robert Pattinson could be even more popular than he is now? We find it hard to imagine!

Ian Somehalder freaked out by blood
Ian Somehalder has admitted that he is freaked out by blood! The actor, who plays hot vampire Damon Salvatore in hit US show The Vampire Diaries has revealed that his dislike was "a little strange", but added that he manages to overcome it when getting into character.
"I actually don't like blood. It freaks me out, a little bit," Ian Somerhalder said yesterday. "But when you think about being hungry, and you think about a time when you were stuck on a plane or you were somewhere without food, or you see people who are starving in the world, and you think about how intense that is, and then you imagine being a vampire and having 160 years of life experience. So, trying to inhabit someone who has that much knowledge of the world is a feat."
Somerhalder also added that he loves playing the 'free-spirited and light-hearted', not to mention HOT Salvatore brother. "He is a lot of fun, and I've been really lucky in this role, he's the most fun character I've ever had the opportunity to play."

Kristen Stewart in LA Times
“For once, Kristen Stewart seemed at ease.
The 20-year-old “Twilight” star was enjoying a rare moment of anonymity at one of her favorite restaurants, a rustic hideaway shrouded by a canopy of ferns, perched alongside a twisty road in Topanga Canyon. Notices for a local farmers market, a childbirth preparation class and a 70th birthday celebration for John Lennon decorated the haunt’s bulletin board.
A few honeybees circled the veggie burger on her plate as she chatted about playing a teenage runaway-turned-stripper in her latest film, “Welcome to the Rileys,” a drama coming to theaters Friday. She wasn’t running her hands through her hair, or incessantly shaking her leg, or stuttering as she tried to express herself — all of the characteristic nervous tics she’s often displayed in public since the first “Twilight” film rocketed her into a frightening orbit of celebrity two years ago.
Then, suddenly, her face fell. A stranger was timidly inching over to her table.
“Could I take a picture for my girlfriend in Thailand?” the man, who appeared to be in his 30s, asked. “She’s a great-looking girl. I just recently got into your movies with her. Is that cool?”
Stewart paused, her left leg slowly beginning to bounce. “Yeah,” she sighed. “Yeah, sure.” She posed for a photo with the interloper.
Oblivious to her agitation, he lingered. “What’s your name again? Kristen, right? Want me to show you my girl?” he asked, beginning to flip through images on his digital camera. “Just for her to know that I picked up breakfast at your restaurant. You know, we’re the type of people that don’t get out much.”
Finally, he retreated. Stewart pulled the hood of her black sweatshirt over her head.
“It’s strange when you become a novelty,” she said, slouching down into her seat. “It’s sort of like, ‘Yeah, sure. Go put this on your Facebook so your friends can laugh at it.’ Because that’s what they will do. And I usually say no to people like that, when they’re like, ‘Yo, yo, can I get a picture of you?’ And it’s like, ‘No, … you,’ ” she said, interjecting an obscenity. “That’s what I’m thinking.”
Stewart, it’s clear, is still grappling with fame, which came at her hard and fast when at age 17 she took on the role of Bella Swan in the “Twilight” vampire franchise, whose fourth installment begins production next month. She’s always trailed by paparazzi. A frenzy breaks out whenever she’s spotted off-set with “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson; tabloids speculate breathlessly about their personal lives.
(One celebrity website, for example, recently gushed about its “exclusive new details” on the pair’s visit to a Play N Trade video game store in Prairieville, La., where they are preparing to film the first part of “Breaking Dawn.” If you must know, they reportedly bought the game “Fallout: New Vegas.”)
Unlike other young stars like Justin Bieber or Lindsay Lohan, who seem to relish sharing tidbits about their lives with fans on social networking sites like Twitter, Stewart has strenuously resisted constant demands to divulge more of herself to the public.
In past interviews, she’s displayed a penchant for stuttering and eye rolling, consequently developing a reputation for being sullen, or awkward. During a 2008 interview with David Letterman, she self-consciously referred to herself as “actually really boring.”
“I don’t have a personality fit for television. I just don’t,” she admitted, sounding genuinely friendly. “Even when I really feel like I’ve had fun with something and been totally fine and we talked about stuff that I thought was interesting — even then. I don’t know. It’s getting easier. It used to be a lot worse. And it’s totally my fault, too. I guess I just put too much pressure on myself before, and it showed.”
Though she started acting half a lifetime ago — garnering early acclaim from the likes of Jodie Foster, who co-starred with her in 2002’s “Panic Room,” and Sean Penn, who directed her in 2007’s “Into the Wild” — Stewart says she’s been unable to nail a performance as a carefree, charming or cute interview subject, because that’s simply not who she is.
Sixteen-year-old Dakota Fanning, who costarred with Stewart in “The Runaways” this year, picked up on her uneasiness during the film’s media tour.
“I think that her being uncomfortable doing interviews — Kristen is exactly who she is. It’s something that I admire her for,” Fanning said. “When she’s doing an interview, she really thinks about what she’s saying. She’s a truthful, honest person, and wants that to come across so badly.”
Things got so bad, her team sent her to media training.
“Basically, they told me that I should be ready for any question that’s thrown at me, and I should have a stock answer, because then it won’t confuse things and you’ll never be caught off guard,” she recalled. “And there’s no way to do that. There’s no way to be prepared for a conversation with someone you don’t know about something that means the world to you.”
What seems to worry Stewart most about all the scrutiny, though, is that it could take away from her reputation as an actress with actual talent. It was her performance in “Into the Wild,” before “Twilight” even came out, that convinced director Jake Scott that she was right for the lead in “Welcome to the Rileys.”
“What I got from her in that movie was this vulpine, wily, kind of fox-like quality,” he said. “She’s got a way of looking at people that I found really compelling.”
In Scott’s film, Stewart plays Mallory, a foul-mouthed teen living on her own in New Orleans, working at a strip club. When she crosses paths with married couple Doug and Lois Riley ( James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo), they take her under their wing and help her begin to turn her life around.
To prepare, Stewart took pole dancing lessons, visited strip clubs and didn’t wash her hair for five weeks. Her appearance was so convincingly trashy, she said, that when she walked into a club off Sunset Boulevard, the owner offered her a job. The actress persuaded him to let her talk to the dancers to get insight about their lives.
“The only thing that I can figure out is that something most of the time was taken from them,” she said. “Like, you can’t hurt me more than I’ve already been hurt. And you can’t abuse me more than I abuse myself every day, so I’m gonna take from you. I’m gonna take your money.”
Her interest in bringing authenticity to the film energized Leo.
“There’s a lot of young folks who want to be actors, but when they really have something going on, it makes me excited,” said the Oscar-nominated actress. “She was 18 when we shot the movie — almost too young to know all the stuff she does, to get inside something like that. She had the willingness to literally be exposed in the way she was.”
Scott says Stewart has become more confident in the two years he’s known her and hasn’t let celebrity warp her identity. “She’s still Kristen to me — this kid from the Valley who’s into Van Morrison and watching movies and hanging out,” he says.
Fanning, though, says it might behoove Stewart to recalibrate her attitude about fame.
“Situations have happened to me when I was a cheerleader at school and paparazzi would sneak onto the field. It’s something that comes along with what I’ve chosen to do with my life,” said Fanning, who wasn’t even 10 when her star took off after 2001’s “I Am Sam.” “Sometimes you have to accept it, even if you don’t think it’s fair or right.”
Stewart fears that adopting that attitude might destroy her.
“I love my job,” she said. “And because of that, I need to protect it.”

More on Mackenzie Foy's character for Breaking Dawn
For 10-year-old Mackenzie Foy, the road from commercial actress to vampire-human love child was a short one. After starting her career in national television and print spots for such clients as Ralph Lauren, Mattel and Burger King, the future “Twilight” star landed a role on the Fox sitcom ” ‘Til Death” in 2009. Since then, she has made guest appearances on ABC’s “FlashForward” and CBS’s “Hawaii Five-0.” But her upcoming role as Edward and Bella’s spawn in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” pushes Foy into a very high-profile spotlight for her silver screen debut. Though director Bill Condon (“Dreamgirls”) has a solution up his sleeve to smooth fans’ issues with the controversial character, Renesmee remains an unusually fast-growing infant, which explains how she will come be played by an actress Foy’s age, most likely in the second installment of the two-part finale. “We have found in Mackenzie all of the qualities we were looking for in an actress to fill the role of Renesmee,” says “Twilight” producer Wyck Godfrey. “She is a very talented young actress who emerged head and shoulders above all who auditioned for the part, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to her role.Quote from Source

New Superman more like Robert Pattinson than Christopher Reeve
Early reviews for the first entry in the DC Comics brand new line of graphic novels, Superman: Earth One by writer J. Michael Straczynski and artist Shane Davis, are out and so far they’ve been pretty mixed, but one specific write-up stood out amongst the others.
In an article in The New York Post yesterday, the writer refers to Superman’s new look in Superman: Earth One as “more Robert Pattinson from the Twilight movies than Christopher Reeve from the Superman films.” I have yet to read the book yet, but oh boy… there’s so much wrong with this.
The article focuses a lot of attention on the different approaches that JMS has taken with the character in this new universe, basically calling Superman a moody hipster, which is kind of hilarious if you think about that for a second. My main problem with the article is not necessarily what is reported in the news, but what they chose to focus on. This piece is nothing more than a modern fashion article with references to hoodies and skinny ties, but DC Comics has always attempted to keep fashion relevant when updating a character (in an alternate universe in this instance).
He wears hoodies, has smoldering eyes and, as a lanky Clark Kent, wears low-cut pants and hipster skinny ties. Artist Shane Davis also made him less physically imposing — shorter and less beefy — than he has traditionally been depicted. But you know what, I and countless other comics fans that pay attention to upcoming releases, which most of us do, knew that DC was approaching Superman in a modern era, so to me, this is not shocking at all, the changes they have made are exactly in line with what they’ve been saying all along. What is shocking, however, is a lot of the fan reaction to this article, which basically labels the book as Superman for the Twilight age. No, this is not the Superman you’re accustomed to, this is a re-imagining of the character, and if you’re familiar with Smallville at all, it seems to be a very similar take on the character. So, don’t freak out, Superfans, keep an open mind, and let the work stand on its own. Don’t let The New York Post’s opinion of fashion determine whether you like the book or if you’ll give it a chance . But honestly, what else would you have Superman dress like in street clothes, while staying relevant? Also, if they chose not to change Clark Kent/Superman’s attitude, how would it be different than Secret Origins? No matter what, I’m looking forward to forming my own opinion of this book.
If the preview /Film is any indication, I don’t think we have anything to worry about.
Superman: Earth One will be released in comic book stores tomorrow, October 27, 2010, and in stores everywhere on November 2, 2010.

Kristen Stewart Bollywood Rumors?
American actress Kristen Stewart is reportedly stepping into Bollywood domain. And if reports are to be believed, the ‘Twilight’ lass will be romancing none other than heartthrob Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming Shekhar Kapur film Paani. So after his much talked-about chemistry with Spanish actress Barbara Mori, Hrithik Roshan will next set the screen on fire with American Kristen Stewart.Quote for Source
According to sources associated with the film, Paani is inspired from the Romeo and Juliet theme of Shakespeare. The Shekhar Kapur film tells the story about a poor boy, portrayed by Hrithik Roshan, who lives in the slum areas of Mumbai. A rebel at heart, the boy comes across a rich girl, played by Kristen Stewart, and the two fall in love.
Paani has been in the production stage for some time now and while Hrithik Roshan had already been finalized for the male lead, Shekhar Kapur was on the lookout for somebody tall and fair to play the part of the contemporary Juliet. The grapevine has it that Shekhar Kapur approached Kristen Stewart directly for being a part of his upcoming venture, and since the actress has always been a fan of his works, she said yes without giving it a second thought.
The audience though is eager to see the Hrithik – Kristen chemistry.

Bella's Breaking Dawn Wedding Dress
Quote from Source
UPDATE on the search for the wedding dress Kristen Stewart will wear in Twilight Breaking Dawn.
Stephanie Meyer is in charge of choosing just the right wedding dress, but Kristen Stewart is also feeling the heat.
Stewart said: "To be honest, it’s such a big deal. It’s such a big decision. I have a little hand in having a decision -or having an opinion more - but I think it’s pretty much up to Stephanie. I haven’t put ‘the one’ on yet.
"I’m not quite sure exactly what it’s going to look like. But it will be beautiful, I’m sure.”

Kristen Stewart talks about Stripping
Kristen Stewart has revealed she went to a strip club to research her new role as a stripper - and got offered a job.
The 20-year-old Twilight star, who plays a 16-year-old sex worker befriended by grieving father Doug (James Gandolfini) in new indie flick Welcome To The Rileys, told The Sun how she went to research the role with director Jake Scott.
Kristen revealed: "I went to my first strip club and the guy was like, 'You have to come back later if you want a job' - they must have thought Jake was my pimp."
The teen idol - known for playing vampire Bella Swan in the Twilight films - revealed she was surprised how comfortable she felt walking around with hardly any clothes on.
She said: "What surprised me most was probably the fact I was so unaware that I was walking down the street with my robe open, wearing fishnets and just not caring at all. I had no inhibitions, I wasn't scared."
But Kristen admitted pole dancing was not so easy, as it left her covered in bruises.
She said: "I learned how to pole dance even though you only see it for a second in the film
"I got bruises in rehearsal. It really hurts. You don't realise that of course it's going to show."Quote from Source

Kristen Stewart wraps her head around the #Krisbian movement
In a recent interview with MTV news “Twilight’s” Kristen Stewart blushed and laughed when she was asked if she was aware of the ‘Krisbian’ movement.
“Yeah, yeah. I totally can’t lie about that. Oh my God, yeah,” she said. Apparently one of Stewart’s biggest fan bases is among lesbians who dig Stewart’s amazing rise to fame and of course her acting skills.
However Stewart also said that her brother got really annoyed by the fact that Stewart has a massive lesbian fan base as well as a male one. Perhaps he’s jealous.
In the interview Stewart also commented on the fact that the group already has a name, ‘Krisbians’. The interviewer pointed out to K-Stew that she simply has a perfect name to be messed with.

Kristen Stewart's makeup artist Beau Nelson recommends using the Clarisonic skin cleaning system

Check out what Kristen Stewart's makeup artist Beau Nelson says about her look, and gives some tips!
Can women actually make their eyes look bigger? How so?
Beige eyeliner on the inner rim can extend the white of the eye making the eyes appear a bit bigger and more "doe" like, but sometimes just drawing attention to the eyes using smoky shadows can make them the focus of the face without making them look bigger.
You work with Kristen Stewart quite a bit (and are responsible for some AMAZING looks, if I must say), what is your favorite look to give her?
The think about Kristen is that shes very open to experimenting. I can literally come to her with an idea and most of the time shes totally up for it. I know she does love her smoky eyes though, but I try to do a completely different look on her every time we work together.
What are some makeup looks fellow fair-skinned readers can steal from her?
Shes back to Brunette now, but when she was blond we experimented with color a bit. We did a dark green smoky eye and also a burgundy one and kept lips neutral. Peach blush also looks very pretty on fair skin, especially if you have any red undertones in your hair.
Is there a specific skincare line that you refer to your clients?
I love and personally use the Kanebo Sensai line of skincare and I tend to give it to all my clients as well. I also use the clarisonic, which I think makes a huge difference in the skin.

Olympic Peninsula serves #twilight Cuisine
Okay, I'm honestly posting this cause I think it's hilarious that I know alot of the terms such as Olympic Peninsula, Pacific North West, Sequim etc etc - and I know you all know them too. But what percentage of us have ever been in that area... just kinda funny...

Somewhere between Port Townsend and Port Angeles . . . sometime close to noon . . . the sky went black . . . and the sun turned into the moon.Quote from SeattleTimes
Making our way over the dimly lit roadway, firmly in the throes of "Twilight" territory, we half expected Team Edward or Team Jacob to dive out in front of our car.
But unlike the hordes of tourists who invade the Olympic Peninsula in search of vampires and werewolves, we were on a quest for something in a completely different vein: Olympic Coast Cuisine.
I first heard the term a year ago, when I received a news release from the folks at the Olympic Peninsula Loop Culinary Tourism Association touting the group's annual summit in Sequim. Olympic Coast Cuisine, they said, is all about helping the rest of us discover and enjoy the rich mix of cultures, climates and foods found in these parts. It features locally raised, caught and foraged ingredients produced by small-scale artisans with stories to tell. Small-scale artisans such as winemakers, beer and hard-cider brewers; cheese makers and creamery operators; bakers and apiarists; organic-produce farmers and grass-fed meat producers — all of whom rely on tourism to survive.
The release also described a mouthwatering lunch showcasing 10 dishes from the chefs and restaurateurs who have propagated the Olympic Peninsula's "eat-local" movement. On the menu? Roosevelt Elk and Berry Soup from Ocean Crest Resort in Moclips. Local coho salmon, slow-cooked in the traditional Native Salish manner over a wood fire, was served up by L Bar L Creations of Sequim.
A side dish of Roasted Ozette Potatoes and Chanterelle Mushrooms came from Bella Italia — the Port Angeles restaurant where "Twilight's" Bella and Edward enjoyed their first date over Mushroom Ravioli. For dessert, chef Jay Payne of Bon Appétit at Fort Worden created Blackberry Pavlovas with Mt. Townsend Creamery Fromage Blanc.
Resolved to try this cuisine for myself, I planned an overnight visit that would tie into the Passport to the Peninsula event. Last November was the seventh year of this annual event, in which you take a self-guided tour of six North Olympic Peninsula winemakers who offer samples of locally produced appetizers paired with their wines.
And so it was that after a leisurely two-hour journey from Seattle, my husband and I pulled into Port Townsend around lunchtime and decided on Fins Coastal Cuisine, a waterfront restaurant along the town's main drag, Water Street. I'll never forget the Hood Canal mussels steamed in rosé broth, a blushing beauty of a dish brimming with fresh shellfish, garlic confit, leeks and fresh thyme. Happily, I noticed several locally produced wines on the wine card there.
T's restaurant is on the opposite end of Water Street in the Port Hudson Marina. Views of ghostlike ferry boats, seasonally changing art displays, a classical guitarist and 30 wines by the glass make for a romantic dining experience. We especially enjoyed the light-as-air Semolina and Herb-Crusted Pan-Fried Oysters from Hood Canal's Dabob Bay.
In the same complex, Hudson Point Café offers daily blackboard specials in addition to breakfast and lunch classics. I'm still swooning over the Smoked Salmon Omelet.
Well-stoked with caffeine and cholesterol, we began our Passport to the Peninsula tour at FairWinds Winery, just a few miles out of town. Owner/winemaker Micheal Cavett, a retired Coast Guard officer, makes nine wines, from mainstream varietals to lesser-known offerings such as aligote, and mead (honey wine).
Richard Sorensen, winemaker/owner of Sorensen Cellars in Port Townsend, is known for his well-crafted red wines such as sangiovese, the winery's most popular variety. He also produces a second label called Townsend Bay, which was featured on several area wine lists.
In Port Angeles, a funky blue-metal building with Day-Glo pink doors houses Harbinger Winery and the Harbinger Brewhouse. Owner/vintner Sara Gagnon makes 15 Rhône-style wines in what was originally a loggers' truck stop. Her Dynamo White and Dynamo Red are award-winning blends. Cranberry Bliss would make the perfect Thanksgiving wine.
In a tranquil garden setting two miles outside of Port Angeles, Camaraderie Cellars is a study in beautiful details, from the 1,600-pound jade sculpture in the courtyard to the custom-made fire pit. Owner/winemaker Don Corson produces elegant, food-friendly wines that include Bordeaux varietals
Shirley and Lance Adams, owners of Black Diamond Winery in Port Angeles, specialize in fruit- and grape-based wines, including Estate-Grown Rhubarb and Müller-Thurgau made from fruit grown in their garden, orchard and two-acre vineyard.
Olympic Cellars is housed in a century-old barn between Port Angeles and Sequim. It was the first winery on the peninsula and, at age 31, is one of the oldest wineries in the state. Owner Kathy Charlton is particularly known for her Working Girl line, as well as her premium La Dolce Vida label.
Olympic Cellars Sparkling Twilight, a bubbly syrah, appeals to the mothers and daughters, gaggles of girlfriends and families with young teenagers who make up the "Twilight" demographic. But Charlton can testify that those who come here find much, much more to love: "My customers tell me, 'Yes, we came for 'Twilight,' but we're coming back for the peninsula.' "

Taylor Lautner #9 Sexiest Beast
Taylor Lautner from Twilight makes TV Guide’s #9 on Sexy Beast list (when to watch show, video)Quote from Source
The TV Guide Network is bringing you the sexiest beasts (including werewolves, vampires and mutant creatures) on October 24, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT. Taylor Lautner from the hit saga ‘Twilight’ made number 9 on the list. The show is the perfect way to combine sexiness with Halloween.
Taylor Lautner plays Jacob Black, and in the second film ‘New Moon’ Taylor Lautner not only changed his appearance for the role, but created a whole sensation that drove young girls into a frenzy and dividing Twilight fans into taking sides: Team Edward and Team Jacob.
The character ‘Jacob Black’ was created by Stephenie Meyer for the series and Taylor Lautner was almost cut from the second movie due to the vast differences in physical appearance his character was to undergo. In the first movie ‘Twilight,’ Jacob Black was seen as a long haired, Native America from the Quileute tribe. In New Moon, Jacob’s character undergoes a ‘werewolf awakening’ which includes ripped muscles and a haircut.
As you can see in the video to the left, Taylor’s character didn’t need an extensive wardrobe to make the transformation real in the hearts of young fans nationwide, just a strict diet and exercise regime to show off his defined abs and few piercing stares didn’t hurt either.
