Robert Pattinson could had been parodied by comedian Leslie Nielsen

Robert Pattinson could had been parodied by comedian Leslie Nielsen had the latter recovered from pneumonia. The late Olivier of spoof was reportedly a huge fan of the Twilight actor.

Robert Pattinson could had been parodied by comedian Leslie Nielsen, had the latter recovered from pneumonia.

Hollywood Florida Nielsen died at the age of 84 due to complications from pneumonia on Sunday evening in Florida. He starred in numerous popular spoof and parody films. He appeared in over 100 films as well as 1,500 television programs throughout his acting career. Nielsen left an indelible imprint on American comedy with his portrayal of over 220 characters. (See full report here).

Robert Pattinson's Twilight character Edward Cullen could had been one of those characters spoofed by the late comedian. The Examiner reported that the Nielsen wanted to "desperately" parody the Twilight series.

The Web site quotes a source as saying that "Leslie was a big Robert Pattinson fan."

"He would have loved to work with Robert on a Twilight parody," said the source.

Nielsen has also played vampire in one of his many parodies. In Dracula: Dead and Loving It, the beloved actor spoofed Bram Stoker's Dracula. He had also appeared in other spoofs of horror flicks such as Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4.

More about the Official #BreakingDawn Photo

A teaser image for ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ suggests that this two-part finale is going to be more beautiful – and more naughty – than before.

Next year will bring the fourth and final entry in The Twilight Saga: the two-part movie event, Breaking Dawn.

Today we have a first teaser image for Breaking Dawn to share – one that will fill longtime fans of Stephenie Meyer’s novels with exquisite joy and anticipation, while possibly hooking others with the lure of curiosity.

The Pacific on DVDBuy HBO's Hit Emmy Winning Series "The Pacific" And Save Up To 50%.www.amazon.com/ThePacificAds by Google

If you haven’t read all the books cover to cover, here is the premise of Breaking Dawn as told by the film’s official synopsis:

After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal.

But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in motion a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle.

Now take a look at the photo image, which was shared by Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) over the movie’s official Twitter page during the Thanksgiving holiday:

Fans of The Twilight Saga books surely recognize the iconic scene that Condon is referencing with this image – but we will have to talk about it in a SPOILER FREE fashion so as not to ruin it for those not yet in the know!

BREAKING DAWN SPOILER BELOW!!!

.

.

.

In the Breaking Dawn novel, the scene pictured above occurs on the night that Bella (Kristen Stewart) and her vampire husband Edward (Robert Pattinson) finally consummate their union. Because of Edward’s vampire strength, he ends up accidentally hurting Bella during the act of lovemaking and out of frustration, tears apart some of the pillows on the bed. Bella awakes satisfied only to find Edward somber and feathers from the pillows raining down everywhere.

.

.

.

END SPOILER

-

Clearly the scene described above, along with the implications of the photo image, suggest that while Breaking Dawn will be rated PG-13, that rating will likely push the boundaries of sexuality in the same way that The Dark Knight stretched to the limit with violence and scares.

That said, the nature of this image also suggests that Bill Condon is really approaching this two-part film with an artistic eye; of all the promo images that could’ve been released, this one is a pitch-perfect teaser, in my opinion. It gets fans excited about their favorite part of the franchise (the steamy Edward/Bella romance), suggests something a little more beautiful and a little more naughty all at once, and, generally speaking, it’s just a pretty image.

Aside from this infamous “love scene,” Bella’s birthing scene (in which her body is literally broken apart) is going to be another boundary-pusher for the teen crowd to see. However, I’m betting Condon has a way to make even THAT turn out as hauntingly beautiful and engaging as this image above. At least that’s what I’m hoping…

#Twilight Kiss Chosen Number 1

I don't know about you all, but in my experience, the entire theater clapped when Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart finally delivered "Edward Cullen" and "Bella Swan's" first kiss in Twilight.

That very scene has become something of an iconic moment from the film, and it scored the two a "Best Kiss" win at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, among other things.

Now, it has earned its place atop Portrait Magazine's "Top 10 Movie Kisses," with a whopping 77% of the vote! Per Portrait Magazine:

I have a feeling this one will continue to be on the top lists of romantic movie moments for a very long time. After all, what better love is there then the love from an eternal (stud) vampire? Millions of people couldn’t wait to see how Bella and Edward's first kiss from the series of books would turn out on the big screen and it’s oblivious to see, most of you were very happy with it.
Absolutely! This isn't the first time Twilight has made this sort of list, either. The Twilight kiss was on The Los Angeles Times' "Top 50 Classic Movie Kisses," while the car crash scene made Fandango's "Top 10 Romantic Movie Moments" and Moviefone's "Top 25 Movie Moments of the Decade." Finally, Twilight's prom scene was chosen as one of the "17 Best Prom Scenes of All Time."

Keep the honors coming, yes?

You might enjoy the attached clip of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart accepting their "Best Kiss" award at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

Do you agree this is the number one best movie kiss? Why or why not?

Rumor Mill: Rob afraid of hurting Kristen?

GossipCop: Rob Afraid of Hurting Kristen While Filming the Sex Scenes??

The National Enquirer reports, “Robert Pattinson, about to shoot steamy ‘Breaking Dawn’ honeymoon scenes with real-life honey Kristen Stewart in Brazil, started shaking, panicking and actually tearing up just before cameras rolled for the ultra-violent sex session where he nearly crushes his new bride with his superhuman vampire strength and leaves her badly battered and bruised.”

Really? According to the tab, Pattinson pleaded, “Can’t we use body doubles? Kristen is so slight… I can’t stand the thought of hurting her!”

The Enquirer says Pattinson ultimately “shot the crucial scene [after] she assured him she was okay,” but later “freaked” when Stewart showed him “bruises” that makeup artists painted on her body.

“For an instant, Rob thought the bruises were real,” claims the mag, adding that he “started stammering, ‘Oh no, what have I done?… Baby, I’m so sorry!”

Stewart, says the Enquirer, then began to laugh as Pattinson was on the verge of melting down.

First, the mag’s article is a tad insulting to Pattinson. His alleged asking for “body doubles” and fear of “hurting her” basically implies he couldn’t act out the scene – which, of course, he did quite ably.

More importantly, this NEVER happened.

Sources on the set say Pattinson knew exactly what was called for in the scene, and executed it perfectly.

It’s also absurd to think that Pattinson wouldn’t know that Stewart was going to have makeup applied in an effort to give the appearance of bruises after the sex scene.

An on-set source tells Gossip Cop that the Enquirer’s entire premise is “patently false,” and that it’s about as real as Stewart’s “bruises” were.

Ian Somerhalder talks smack about Twilight . . . Sorta - but I don't care because he is so sexy

Oh Damon, I mean Ian. You're so fucking hot I don't care what you say. Sure, sure baby you could beat up that big ol' bad Edward . . . .

"Actor Ian Somerhalder has joked that his CW drama series The Vampire Dairies would easily beat vampire film franchsie Twilight in a fight. Somerhalder plays vampire Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries which is on the novels, of the same name, by L.J Smith. While The CW series is popular with audiences and is one of the broadcasters top-rated shows its popularity is undoubtedly dwarfed by the film franchise Twilight.

Robert and Kristen to be on Dancing with the Stars? Silly Rumors

“Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart turn down Dancing with the Stars?” asks an article on Examiner.com.

The author of the post claims that according to his “sources in the know at a public relations firm that does business with several Twilight cast members, both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were asked to participate in season 12 of Dancing with the Stars.”

The article then states, “Specific details aren’t yet available, other than the concrete reality that neither star will be dancing any time soon.”

Want to know why there aren’t any “specific details”?

Simply, because this NEVER happened.

Firstly, there isn’t a single “public relations firm that does business with several Twilight cast members.”

In fact, the top stars of the Twilight Saga are scattered among many different PR firms. And Pattinson doesn’t even have a press agent.

Still, Gossip Cop looked into this, and there isn’t one shred of evidence that Pattinson and Stewart were even approached by ABC to appear on the show.

It’s simply untrue – no way to dance around that.

This would be a good gift to get a Twilight. Friend! I love this series, it's no Twilight but I love it anyways and amazon has a good deal going on right now

I tried to get Kristie to read the series but she wanted no part of it. It was right after she finished Twilight for the first time so in her defense nothing could compare at the moment. I wish she would give it a second try!

"Product Description

The House of Night is a thrilling, New York Times bestselling book series that follows 16-year-old Zoey Redbird as she is “Marked” by a vampyre tracker and begins to undergo the “Change” into an actual vampyre. She has to leave her family in Broken Arrow, OK, and move into the House of Night, a boarding school for other fledgling vampyres like her.

It’s tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx. Although Zoey has awesome new powers, it’s hard to fit in when everyone knows you’re “special.” As Zoey tries to make new friends and maybe find a hot boyfriend (or two), she comes up against all kinds of evil, from the perfect-looking, super-popular girl with not-so-faultless plans, to the mysterious deaths happening at the House of Night and all over Tulsa. Things at the House of Night are not always what they seem. Can Zoey find the courage deep within herself to find the truth and embrace her destiny?"

Red Riding Hood gets the #Twilight Treatment

Catherine Hardwicke takes her Twilight directing style to another "dark romance" - Red Riding Hood. It looks like it will be closer to the grim Grimm fairy tale than the sanitized bedtime story most kids remember.  Red Riding Hood stars Amanda Seyfried (Big Love), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight), Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl), and Virginia Madsen (Candyman).

Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon (Gary Oldman), to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon, Valerie begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves. Panic grips the town as Valerie discovers that she has a unique connection to the beast--one that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect...and bait.

Taylor Swift Talks about her song December and Taylor Lautner

Taylor Swift explains 'December,' about 'Twilight's' Taylor Lautner? (video) -- In her special to air Thursday on NBC, singer/songwriter Taylor Swift explains her lyrics to the song "Back to December" that appears on her latest album, Speak Now.
The song is "an apology in the form of a song," she says. "You know, in life, you learn lessons. And sometimes you learn them the hard way. Sometimes you learn them too late."

"The song 'Back to December' is about a lesson I learned too late. And I think, when you do that, and you finally realize that you were wrong, you need to say you're sorry. And this was the best way that I knew how."

She did not specificially say the song is about her former relatioship with actor Taylor Lautner of the Twilight films, but according to People, she did say last month that "The person I wrote this song for deserves this. This is about a person who was incredible to me – just perfect to me in a relationship – and I was really careless with him."

Her comments plus known events surrounding the times she spent with Taylor Lautner lead many observers to guess that the person she is apologizing to in the song is the actor.

The special, Taylor Swift: Speak Now, will air on NBC Thanksgiving night at 8 p.m. ET.

Taylor Swift has also just announced dates for her Speak Now world tour.

@Muse talks about #Twilight

As you know, Muse won this year’s American Music Award for Favorite Alternative Rock Music Artist, and MTV stopped them to talk about the band’s experience being a three-time contributor to the Twilight series’ soundtracks (Muse’s "Supermassive Black Hole" appeared on the soundtrack for Twilight, "I Belong to You" was in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and, most recently, "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" was part of the album for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse).

Here’s what Matthew Bellamy, lead singer for Muse, had to say about the movies and Twilight fans:

Well, the first one [Twilight] was pretty good. The second one [New Moon] I just saw a bit of it . . . a couple of guys kept taking their shirts off and getting their muscles on, I thought ‘Oh that’s a bit cheesy,’ but the third one [Eclipse] was pretty good. But yeah, you know, whatever it’s like loads of young fans come to our gigs now who say ‘Oh, I heard your song from that film' . . . So, yeah we’re happy with it. It’s great.

The interview video and photos of the band at the AMAs are attached.

What are your thoughts on Bellamy’s words here?

Some have interpreted this to mean he is denigrating the Saga (i.e., brushing off the film as "cheesy" to save face or something to that degree), but others (myself included) see it as the truth: he wasn’t crazy about New Moon as a movie (which is fair) but is appreciative of the opportunity the Saga has afforded the band.

Perhaps a bit of context will help.

Muse has been the music group most involved with and gracious to the Saga over these past few years - rightfully so since they were admittedly an inspiration for most of the Twilight series books. Matthew Bellamy tweeted a photo with Stephenie Meyer. Muse didn’t shy away from making a music video for their Eclipse soundtrack song. They have credited the Twilight series with helping them successfully break into the American market, admitting “that is what we always wanted but we thought we could never have."

In my mind, there's no insult involved here. It's not a Paramore "We don't want to be, like, the house vampire band" situation at all. Still, your thoughts are very welcome on the issue in the comments below.

@ashleymgreene on Lopez last night

Last night, Ashley Greene ("Alice Cullen" in the Twilight series) appeared in Lopez Tonight to promote the release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on DVD.

In the interview, Greene recounted a few of her most recent travel woes - the latest of which was caused by her boyfriend Joe Jonas and his affinity for cooking utensils (cheese knives, to be exact).

A clip from the interview is attached.

One fun story Greene had to share was of a time when she and co-star Kellan Lutz were traveling for Twilight promotions, and her bag broke, leaving Lutz in a lurch when his offer to carry her things went awry (with TSA employees having raised eyebrows about him having high heels and pantyhose in his bag).

Note that Lopez Tonight is hosting an Eclipse DVD giveaway contest that you can enter here if you are interested.

Breaking Dawn Rumors via @GossipCop

Whenever an outlet like OK! claims an “on-set exclusive,” we get a bit suspicious.

And if HollywoodLife picks it up, let’s just say it doesn’t exactly put those doubts to rest.

This week, the site hops on an OK! report alleging that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are “demanding” that producers “really push the envelope” with their Breaking Dawn sex scenes.

“They want to show tasteful but extremely sexually charged nudity,” claims an OK! “insider.” Another tabloid source says the scenes “will shock” fans when they hit the big screen, and OK! even suggests the scenes “might ruin the movie’s planned PG-13 rating.”

This is utter nonsense.

First of all, as Gossip Cop already reported, Stewart will not be naked on screen, despite rumors. Loose talk of nudity and graphic lovemaking have been linked to Breaking Dawn for weeks — and it’s simply not true.

The Twilight movies have wide appeal (as their box office power proves).

But part of the core audience is young women, many of whom are teenagers. Even beyond the fundamental fact that graphic sex isn’t in the script, producers have zero incentive to put out an R-rated product that could leave out some of the movie’s biggest fans.

So let’s put an end to these persistent, silly rumors.

Why Harry Potter franchise trumps Twilight . . . Just sayin as a Twilight fan

I'm a Twilight fan. I'm a Harry Potter fan, well sort of haven't read the books yet *ducks as shoes come flying at me like I'm George W*.

Anyways as a die hard Twilight fan I can admit the series is not as good as Harry Potter. I know I know, but come on, you can't intelligently say that any of the Twilight films are THAT good. They're not. Period.

Plus, Stephanie Meyer uses the word "chagrin" like a billion times. I hate when authors use a word as many times as Miley Cyrus uses the word "like". Makes me want to shove rusty needles into my eyes

Here is someone who argues why "Potter" is the better franchise and I couldn't agree more. BUT THIS DOESNT MEAN I LOVE TWILIGHT ANY LESS! Or my boo Edward, love ya ;)

"Book-to-Screen Adaptations
. . . major plot points of the books are translated to the screen. Well, yes, I can't deny this is the case because "The Twilight Saga" has the most minimal plot lines required to make a story interesting. The plot for "Twilight" in 10 words: Bella and Edward fall in love, but he's a vampire. "New Moon": Edward leaves Bella, and she is sad; enter werepuppy Jacob. Things get a bit more complicated by "Eclipse," but still, we aren't talking about intricate literature here. "Twilight" is so great because it's so simplistic. But try summarizing the "Harry Potter" plot lines in one sentence, especially by the time you get to the later books. I certainly couldn't. Jo Rowling wove a plot so intricate that a detail as minute as the color of Harry's eyes becomes one of the biggest plot points in the entire series. Come on!"

LOL a lot at the above comments, sad but true.

Who Would Win in a Fight: Harry or Edward?
. . . Stephenie Meyer thinks Harry could beat Edward, and I think she's the one who would know best.

Stephanie Meyer did say that people!

Standing the Test of Time
Umm, "Harry Potter" has a theme park. Enough said (although of course I'm going to say a lot more). If anything should guarantee that this series is going to be a significantly relevant part of global pop culture for the next 50 years or so, it should be that.

In addition, Rowling's "Sorcerer's Stone" book came out more than 15 years ago which, as Andrew pointed out, show's that it's already standing the test of time. The first film was released in 2001, which means these films will have taken a decade to be released. By contrast, "Twilight" was only released in 2005 with the next three books coming out over the next three years. There was no drawn-out tension, no several years passing by with no new "Potter." Similarly, the first "Twilight" film was released in 2008 and Summit has been pumping them out ever since, though they're slowing down now with the second part of "Breaking Dawn" not being released until 2012. But that still means that all the "Twilight" books and films will have been released in only seven years, half the time it took for us to wait for "Potter."

I really agree with the above. It seems like we can't wait for anything anymore? I'm a bit of a masochist and LOVE to torture myself. I could have waited longer in between releases of books/movies. It feels all to quick. Really why was Eclipse released in June? Did they think we were going somewhere or would lose interest? Geez Harry Potter proved that the fans are NOT going away . . . Like, ever. <-- Said with my best Miley Cyrus voice.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer - NEW movie is in the works!!!

I said what what?!

"Now, the gal who made that perfect combo of teen angst and vampire slaying cool in the first place is headed back to theaters. Warner Bros. announced today that a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot is officially in the works."

YIPPPPEEEEEEE! I love Buffy, the movie and the show. How exciting that we get to see this character again. I'm kinda hoping that the character will be grown up ya know?

"According to WB's statement, actress-turned-screenwriter Whit Anderson is currently writing the script, and it was her fresh take on Buffy that convinced the studio to relaunch the franchise. "Whit approached us with an exciting idea about how to update Buffy," said producer Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment. "Not your high school Buffy," you say, Charles? Interesting. This would seem to suggest an older Buffy -- perhaps a mature woman in her mid-to-late 20s? Of course, the big question now is: Who should play Buff? We've gone ahead and tossed a few of our suggestions in a poll below.
