Edi Gathegi.....it's been a while, missed you! He talks about his role in X-Men: First Class

I was lucky to meat Edi Gathegi at my very first Twilight Convention back in 2009, and he was so very entertaining.  Funny, charming, and waayyyyyyyyyy better looking than Laurent ;)  I'm so happy to see him soon in X-Men: First Class

Here is what he had to say about his role as Darwin:

“I was a major X-Men fan as a youth,” he revealed. “I'd wake up every Saturday morning with my bowl of cereal glued to the tv screen enjoying my favorite comic brought to life as a cartoon.”

He described his character for people less familiar with Darwin, talking about the mutant’s skill at "reactive adaptation."

“If I fall from a building my bones turn to rubber," he explained. "Or if the lights go out I have perfect vision in the pitch black. Or if I happen to get catapulted into outer space, my body no longer requires oxygen. That sort of thing. And the list is as extensive as the need to survive.”

Impressive as that might sound, Gathegi still insists Darwin is “more or less a regular guy.” And why is that? Well, he gets to avoid all the makeup that other characters like Mystique have to go through.

“[H]e isn't painted blue or anything,” the actor said. “So visual effects are specifically relegated to my use of powers not for my overall look. Makeup was virtually non-existent.”

Rob and Kristen Spend Time Together Off Set of #BreakingDawn

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been reported enjoying another private dinner together. Words are, the "Twilight Saga" stars and rumored couple dined out without making reservation beforehand at a quiet restaurant near their hotel called Italian Kitchen around two weeks ago.

"Rob and Kristen went into the restaurant and asked to be seated in a private area," a local source dished on the outing to Hollywood Life. "They were seated in the upstairs section of the restaurant and given a very private table." It was said that the two chose the place because they don't want to be spotted by fans.

"Rob and Kristen used to go out to very public places. But they are trying to find hiding places now," so explained the source. Accordingly, Rob had Spaghetti with Spicy Kobe Meatballs, while Kristen dined on Caprese Salad. The twosome also "shared a bottle of wine" before leaving the restaurant at around 10:30 P.M.

So how is Breaking Dawn coming along? How was filming this time around?


It was a lot different. It was a much bigger production than the other ones were. The cast was just massive. I think they have like 60 new vampires. So the feeling of a closer production, it didn't feel that way because it was just so massive. But Bill Condon, the director, is really, really sweet. He takes his time to introduce himself to everybody, get acquainted and get a feel for the scenes and everything like that. So that was a really big delight this time.

What's it like being one of the only girls around the wolfpack?

They are like my brothers. We're really like a family. Just from the Twilight conventions and stuff like that, we get to see each other a lot more. Most of the time when you're filming a movie, it's kind of like summer camp. You finish it and you're like, "Yeah, we should keep in touch." And that never happens. But with this, where we're constantly doing promotion for the movie and seeing each other and interacting with the fans, we've had more of a chance to bond as a family. And I'm kind of like a guy's girl anyway. I get along better with guys I think than I do with girls. I don't know. They are like my brothers. They are really cool.

Is it safe to assume that you're Team Jacob?

I think by Breaking Dawn there are no teams. Bella's marrying Edward, so I think the team scenarios are gone out the window at this point.

Fair enough. I saw the photos you tweeted during the whole makeup process. Tell me about that.

It's really claustrophobic. They only have two spaces where your nostrils are so you can breathe. All of a sudden, it gets really really hot. You just have to focus on your breathing. They told me how they've had rock stars come in and completely panic because it's so claustrophobic. But once it comes off, it feels glorious.

Haha. Do you get recognized a lot without the big scar?

Not really. When I have the bangs, I think a little bit more, but we didn't actually cut them for Breaking Dawn. So I don't know if people will recognize me more in this movie. But I think the bangs and also the scars….a lot of people when I don't have the scars are like, "Oh, I didn't even recognize you." I don't think it makes that much of a difference, but apparently it does. Also, I don't look at people when I'm walking around because it makes me paranoid. So maybe people are recognizing me and I just don't see it? I don't get paparazzi following me around.

How is the paparazzi? Is it as bad as they say?

When we're filming. Everyday life in L.A., I don't really see them that much unless I'm at an event. But yeah, during filming they're around. They hide in trees and stuff like that. But the place that we were shooting, I think they thought that we were at a different part of the island because they didn't find us at all when we were shooting.

That's good. So what's it like working with Taylor Lautner?

I don't get to see Taylor outside filming. You know, he came up and said, "Hi," and he's really sweet. Obviously, he has way more fans than any of us. He's constantly dealing with paparazzi and fans and stuff like that. So he's kind of separate than the rest of the wolfpack. We don't get as much attention as he does. It's just hard for him to go out without getting recognized. We get to hang out a bit during filming, but after that we don't really get to see him that much. But he's really nice.

Is it the same way with Rob, Kristen and the rest of the cast of vampires?

I've seen Nikki after filming. We had a really good chat. I wanted to hang out with her because I've been reading some of her blogs and stuff and she really seems cool. But we started filming Breaking Dawn again, so they're still busy. Same thing with Taylor. So you don't really get to hang out as much with them. Plus, none of my scenes are with them as well. So it's almost like you're shooting a completely different movie. You have the high school kids. And then the vampires and Volturi. And then us. It's completely different filming processes.

#BreakingDawn Gets The Official PG-13 Rating

During his promotional rounds for Water for Elephants, E.W. and Vanity Fair cover-boy Rob Pattinson talks about life beyond Twilight—“I literally feel like we’ve been doing it my whole life” he says, and the upcoming Breaking Dawn movies.


Bizarre things happen in the two films, including a half-vampire baby’s horrid birth. Pattinson says: “There’s some interesting and weird stuff going on—really very, very, very strange. It’s great. For a big mainstream movie, it’s the most obscure story line and really outside the box. It’s a horror movie. I’ve seen a few bits, and I just can’t see how it’s going to be PG-13… unless they cut everything out!”

Rest assured, everyone. An R-rating will never happen, confirms a Summit spokeswoman: “Breaking Dawn will be a PG-13. It will not be rated R.”

Please keep in mind that Remember Me was rated PG-13, and I'm sure you all remember all the bump and grind rob and emilie were doing, so I'm not too worried, I wasnt expecting a freaking nude scene I mean come on.  Not like I'd be complaining if they did decide to throw some sparkly Rob peen here and there. Charlie & Bella Swan house gets demolished .....beginning of the end for Twilight fans

Yep, it's happening Twilight fans. Even though the 2nd Breaking Dawn film won't be released until November 2012 the beast known as the saga is at the beginning of the end :(

Last week Bella's prop house used in the films was demolished here are some pics:








And that's it, it's gone. I would think they would have kept it around at least until they were sure they didn't need to do reshoots for Breaking Dawn. Seems kind of too early to tear it down if you ask me.........

Best Kiss: Kristen and Rob or Kristen and Taylor

MTV Reports:

So far there are 20 possible couples who are eligible to be nominated for the 2011 MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss in June. But Kristen Stewart is actually listed twice for her Twilight Saga: Eclipse kiss with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. So out of the Twilight couples, who do you think should win?
For those who only have Twilight on the brain when it comes to the “Best Kiss” award, we thought it isn’t too soon to ask whose kiss was best.

Maybe it’s an unfair question since Kristen and Rob have won “Best Kiss” at the MTV Movie Awards for the past two years.

However, Taylor really stepped up his game in Eclipse when he finally locked lips with Kristen not once, but twice!

#Twilight Star Charlie Bewley ( @alchemission) - Running for a Good Cause

The Province Reports:

Twilight actor Charlie Bewley has traded in his fangs for running shoes.


The English actor, who plays the Volturi vampire Demetri in the Twilight Saga movies, is in town, busy training for the May 1 BMO Vancouver Marathon.

Bewley is running and raising money as a tribute to his late friend and colleague, stuntwoman Jocelyn Clarke, who passed away from lung cancer on Feb. 14 at the age of 36.

"She was a really brilliant girl," said Bewley, who hopes his Run For Your Life campaign will be a lifelong endeavour.

"She is ingrained in my heart. I wanted to celebrate the life of this amazing person."

While running a full marathon is certainly impressive, Bewley is picking up the pace, if you will, and actually adding another 21 kilometres to the 43-km marathon length, bringing his day's run total to 64 km.

"For me, it's an underlying message for anyone who feels they are stronger than what they are putting out right now," said Bewley, who lives in Los Angeles but has called Vancouver and Whistler home in the past.

Bewley, who met Clarke on a bus on the way to audition, is further honouring the memory of the Vancouver stuntwoman, who doubled for Dakota Fanning's vampire character in Twilight's New Moon and Eclipse movies, by donating funds raised through a ticket draw (charliebewley.com/runforyourlife) to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.

Each dollar sponsored earns one ticket into a draw to win an advanced, private screening for the winner and 20 of his or her friends for Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, which is now shooting in Vancouver. And attention Twihards, Bewley will make an appearance at that screening.

"If I can do this and make enough buzz about it, I feel I can inspire people not only to explore their own limits but to get out there and help causes," said Bewley, who drove cab in Whistler for two years.

On race day, Bewley plans a 4: 30 a.m. start and figures he'll need about six hours to complete the 64 km.

In theory, he will get a few minutes to catch his breath when he stops after the first 21.1 km to make the draw for the screening package donated by the Twilight studio Summit Entertainment.

"I think I will have two or three running styles," said Bewley. "There will also be probably some crawling and maybe some being sick."

As for Twihard fans, when it came to Twilight gossip, the actor's lips were sealed tighter than a vampire's crypt.

"Sure you can ask me," said Bewley. "But if I told you anything, I would have to throw you into the sea."

I met Charlie in Toronto and he was amazing, the most regular, hilarious and spontaneous man I've ever seen! He was a joy to watch and I developed a whole new respect for him, but now, seeing this article, not much more to say than Great Job Charlie!

Rob: "I'm Just Tired All The Time"

The actor, who is currently finishing filiming Breaking Dawn is also promoting his new film, Water For Elephants which also stars Reese Witherspoon.


Talking to OK! about "constantly being in standby mode" when he's not working, Rob said:

"No, I’m just tired all the time. I’m sort of running in standby mode. Until I have to actually do something, I sort of just sit around in a trance.”

Despite feeling tired all the time, Rob did reveal that he can manage to find energy when it comes to playing music.

He continued: "I still love playing music with people. I was in New Orleans the other day and I was playing with the band from New Orleans Salvation at the Preservation Hall. While I was playing piano, I thought, ‘Jesus, why don’t I do this anymore?’ It was amazing."

Always remember OK! lies ALOT too, so believe only what you want but remember its not always true.

During her Twitter Q&A for Donate My Dress, Greene was asked, "Which part of the Twilight books and movies do you like most and why?" She replied, "I like the part where Alice is planning the wedding with Bella. I love to plan parties and I collaborated on my dress!"

While everyone realizes that the characters in Breaking Dawn aren't "real," it's fun to hear that they all have so much fun bringing the Stephenie Meyer novels to life.

Almost everyone is looking forward to the wedding of Edward and Bella, and it seems like the cast has been equally excited to live out the next chapters in one of the best vampire/werewolf love stories of all time.

Rob Thinks #BreakingDawn Might Have to be a Rated-R Movie...unless there are plenty of cuts

Does "Twilight" star, Robert Pattinson, want the final two films in the saga to have an R-rating? Pattinson, who plays hunky vampire Edward Cullen in 'Breaking Dawn,' is having a hard time understanding just how the final movies could possibly be rated PG-13.


In a recent interview, Rob reveals that some of the scenes are very graphic. "There's some interesting and weird stuff going on -- really very, very, very strange. It's great. For a big mainstream movie, it's the most obscure story line and really outside the box. It's a horror movie," he said, adding, "I just can't see how it's going to be PG-13. unless they cut everything out."

Not only will this excite fans further for the November 2011 release of 'Breaking Dawn, Part I,' but now, some parents may be questioning if they're tweens should be allowed to view the film at all.

It's very debatable, but if the fans have read the books, they will know what to expect. 'Breaking Dawn' is the most graphic book of the entire series, and the movie seems to be following suit. However, the studio should consider the nature of some of the scenes, and rate the film accordingly. Chopping out the most dramatic scenes will only leave fans angry, disappointed, and insulted. Even Robert Pattinson seems to agree.

Robert Pattinson "We Look Like We're From Mars!"

Lions and tigers and bears! (Cue the 'Oh my!') Those are real animals, not CGI, in Robert Pattinson's new circus flick Water for Elephants, co-starring Reese Witherspoon (it's out April 22). But with all those carnivores prowling around the 1930s-themed set, you'll never believe which animal Pattinson feared most.

Scarier than having to throw meat into a lion's cage? "I had to get knocked down by a horse. That was terrifying," Patz tells USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell. "It was just one split second but (it was) a fully grown stallion...I'm kind of relatively scared of horses as well. I'm just glad I didn't have to ride any of them. I'm not particularly good at horse riding."

On a short break from shooting Breaking Dawn in Vancouver, he also offered up some Edward Cullen-style gossip. The main story line is "so far outside of the box," he says."It's really different from the other ones. There are some days on set just watching you go 'How is this going to be PG-13?'" he said with a laugh. "It's like totally ridiculous."
Pattinson confirms he and Stewart have filmed the birth scene, and with a laugh, says the shooting was "kind of hilarious."

He explains: "She has to have this pregnant suit on all the time, that was probably more annoying for her," he said. That's not the only change you'll see in Bella.

"I can't give too much away but there's some bits, especially towards the end of the movie, she's just like the polar opposite of any of the other (films)," he says. "I mean, she's a different person, which is cool. She looks completely different. She looks probably the most convincing vampire out of all of us."

Meaning what, exactly? "A lot of us look like we're just from Mars," said Pattinson. "She's kind of the smallest one, but she suits being a vampire."

Is he cute or what? Can not wait to see Kristen - PS it said at the end of the movie, meaning movie 1 she looks the most convincing, so does that mean we now know where it ends for part 1?

Kristen Stewart to Present at the Kids Choice Awards #KCA

In the April 4th edition of the magazine (scan available here), it reports that Kristen Stewart will be among the presenters at this year's KCA Awards, which are being hosted by Jack Black live in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 2nd at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Kristen Stewart is nominated for "Favorite Movie Actress" for her work in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (vote here).

While filming for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is still currently on-going in British Columbia, there have been several Twilight cast appearance break-aways from the set to speak of. For instance, she, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner all hopped on a plane to make it to this year's People's Choice Awards (straight from the Baton Rouge set), and just this weekend Robert Pattinson ventured to Los Angeles for interviews with MTV and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (from Vancouver's Breaking Dawn location). So, it's certainly not unheard of.

This may or may not be true as Us Weekly has been know to publish an abundance of lies.

She shared, “I know that Alloy would love to create a feature franchise with this. We’ve talked about doing a feature film once the girls get older. Just who is Christina Burke aka Teen Renesmee aka Stealing Jacob from me?

*Sigh* Get a load of Christina Burke, wowza! She is playing teenage Renesmee who Jake is supposed to imprint with. Some people are all up in arms about a young adult Renesmee, since Stephanie Meyer didn't mention this in the book.

Relax, pretty sure she will just be used for Jacobs rumored flash forward scene. But, honestly, I'm not looking forward to baby or even young Renesmee. I wish they would just skip that part and have her be a teen for all of her scenes. Babies and vampires just don't mix in my eyes, but that just my opinion ;)

Plus, I really like the look of Christina - just how I pictured Renesmee in my head since I refused to make her a baby while I read the book LOL.

Digging (or shall I say chewing) Deeper into the Deets of the #BreakingDawn Birth Scene

Robert Pattinson has confirmed that Kristen Stewart's Bella will give birth by caesarean section in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.


Pattinson's Edward will perfrom the c-section himself, cutting Bella's stomach open with his own teeth.

He told Total Film, "Yeah, I’ve done it. I’ve chewed it, spat it out!"

Pattinson also promised that Breaking Dawn will be, "very different to the other films - more like a horror film."

He continued, "Just some of the source material makes it inevitably more different. It's completely nuts, the book."

Sienna and Tom continue their string of dates around London
Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge went on a coffee date on Sunday in London. Despite speculation Tom, 25, was just a rebound for Sienna, 29, following her breakup with Jude Law, the new couple seem to be happy together.

Sienna was first spotted with her new British man in February right after she split with Jude for the second time. Sienna and Tom were reportedly seen kissing at a Notting Hill bar just before Valentine’s Day and they have been on multiple cuddly outings.

Many of you weren’t too keen on Sienna double dating with Tom’s best friend Robert Pattinson and girlfriend Kristen Stewart and a few of you were skeptical things with Sienna and Tom would last. It seems like the two friends have blossomed into something more, and Sienna is even speaking out on moving forward with her life since her split with Jude.

“It had run its course,” she says of her relationship with Jude, who she says she wasn’t engaged to a second time. “I’m in a very different place to where I was. I feel like I experienced my 20s in all their glory and all their disastrous-ness, and now I feel much more calm. It feels like a new, more serious decade.”

Robert Pattinson: Kristen Stewart is More Emotional Than I Am

On Friday night, Robert Pattinson did a live interview with MTV to promote his new film Water for Elephants -- and to answer some of the hundreds of questions tweeted by fans. Naturally, the interview drifted to the subject of Pattinson's leading lady, on and off the Twilight set: Kristen Stewart. While neither will talk directly about their (still unconfirmed) romance in interviews, Pattinson did open up when asked about their different acting styles.


"We just have different ways of thinking," Pattinson told MTV when asked about Stewart. "I like the kind of cerebral aspect of things, and she has kind of an immediate emotional response to stuff every single time. Like, she can be thrown by something someone says. She notices much more about people, whereas I just want to see the meaning of something."

Pattinson says that Stewart, who was "born to be an actor," likes to ridicule his academic approach to roles.

"I'm always like, 'I don't know what it means! I've got to understand before I can do it!'" says Pattinson. "And she's like, 'Why can't you understand? This is obvious... If you don't know, you shouldn't be an actor!"

So how does K-Stew compare to the co-stars in his next two non-Twilight movies: Reese Witherspoon (Water for Elephants) and Uma Thurman (Bel Ami)? Pattinson says that all three of them have something in common, besides being -- as he jokingly points out -- "hot girls."

"They're all very strong, actually," he says of the A-list actresses. "I always end up being in movies with very experienced and passionate people. They're never just flimsy floozies."

While Pattinson's Water for Elephants character is generally the complete opposite of Edward Cullen, there is one thing about him that will ring a bell with Twilight fans: his name is Jacob.

"I just wanted to show I could do Jacob too. It's the only reason I did the movie," Pattinson jokes.

I'm starting The Hunger Games tonight . . .

I just got back from the library, and picked up The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Looks like the copy I will be reading has been well read LOL. I love the library, now that i can get library books on my ipad I am done buying books! Unfortunately my library doesn't have The Hunger Games trilogy in ebook format yet, so I'm stuck reading the old-fashioned way. I never thought I would like reading electronically as much as I do. It's just so much more convenient, but I will always love a good ol' hard copy book too ;)

I'm crazy excited to start this series! I have purposely not read anything about the series so that I can be somewhat surprised (it takes a lot to these days).

I'll give a review of the book when I'm done . . . Cheers!

Forget the wedding, the filming of the Breaking Dawn birth scene is the one that most Twilight fans cannot wait for, and Robert Pattinson has revealed all the gross details. Rob told Total Film about the birth scene, “Yeah, I’ve done it. I’ve chewed it, spat it out!” Yuck!

Rob is of course referring to the fact that Edward is forced to chew Renesmee out of Bella when the child, who is half vampire, begins to break the bones in Bella’s body during childbirth. How romantic!

Rob had admitted Breaking Dawn will be more like a horror film, and this certainly makes it seem that way!

Rob Was on the Fence for #WFE Until He Met Tai

LOCK UP your daughters or stock up on ear plugs - Robert Pattinson will hit town (Australia) in May to promote his new film, Water For Elephants.

The Twilight star plays an animal handler who falls for Reece Witherspoon’s glittering circus performer in the romantic, depression-era drama, based on Sara Gruen’s novel.

This infatuation doesn’t do much to endear him to his boss and her husband (Christoph Waltz) - the cruel but charismatic circus master.

Oscar-winner Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) will also attend the State Theatre premiere on May 6 with director Francis Lawrence.

Lawrence has raved about the on-screen chemistry between Witherspoon and Pattinson, but the film's animal coordinator Paul "Sled" Reynolds recently told People magazine that Rob was actually smitten with a very different co-star.

He said Pattinson was on the fence about taking the role of Jacob until the actor met Tai, a 42-year-old, four tonne elephant.

"Rob was non-committal until he saw the elephant," Reynolds told People.

While this will be R-Patz's first trip to Australia, his Twilight co-stars Kristin Stewart and Taylor Lautner toured Sydney last year.

Of all the new talent joining the franchise, 10-year-old Mackenzie Foy, who plays Edward and Bella's daughter, is the one everyone has an eye on. "She's a great actress. She's really sweet," Pattinson told us. "She has to do a hard part as well, because she's doing — I don't want to get into special-effects stuff — but she's playing a baby in some scenes. Oh, man, some of the stuff is so strange. I mean, we've done very strange things on the 'Breaking Dawn' shoot."

Rob also dished a bit about the musical aspects of the upcoming films, shooting down a rumor that he'll sing a lullaby but revealing he will show off some of his musical abilities. "I did play some piano. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be secret," he said. "I was very impressed. I hadn't played piano in years, and I learned it in about 10 seconds."

Edward Cullen Flashback Scene for #BreakingDawn

After news broke about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart shooting Breaking Dawn in Vancouver at The Orpheum Theatre, another Twilight Saga report recently surfaced indicating that a flashback sequence with Pattinson was allegedly filmed this week that shows the past of Edward Cullen.


According to Hollywood News, which doesn't give a lot of details, sources on location for Breaking Dawn scenes at Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre revealed how Twilight Saga shots were allegedly filmed this week that will be used for a flashback sequence with Robert Pattinson as vampire Edward Cullen that delve into the character’s past. Details of the flashback time frame are unknown.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Hanging Out...

I mean this is not an official report, but its out there and I'm gonna post it, but as always KEEP IN MIND... almost everything we hear is only part or not one single bit of the truth.

Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart appear to be the most down to earth celebrities in the business today. They aren't pretentious or arrogant, and they don't flaunt their fame and celebrity. I'm sure there are other celebrities that are just as down to earth as Rob and Kristen, but RPattz and KStew are the two biggest stars in Hollywood right now, and have every right to be full of themselves.


Last week Pattinson and Stewart went out on a date and waited in line for tickets like regular folks. They engaged their fans by taking pictures and actually having conversations with them. Could you imagine Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt doing that? We can't.

You don't see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart arriving everywhere in limos, wearing thousand dollar suits and gowns, posing for pictures and acting as if they are royalty. Most celebrities think they are special when indeed they are not. Rob and Kristen know they are no different than anyone else and they know that their fame and fortune are a direct result of their fans great admiration.
